VST integration

First, love LoopMix, what a fun way to create a bit of inspiration. I’m wanting to use this to help in Cinematic Composing, especially in the Orchestral Percussion dept, and am currently taking a lot of my Heavyocity loops and doing some mangling.

As an owner of Unify, I’m getting a little spoiled in being able to utilize any of my VST that are on my computer for sound design. It would be awesome to see the ability to integrate that function in LoopMix and then save the preset (with VST settings) within the preset for quick retrieval. Just a thought..

I’m referring to VST effects like Infiltrator, SuperModel, Portal, ect…

Hi @BryanJ

Do you mean using Loopmix as an audio effect to process an incoming signal in real time?

At the moment, this isn’t possible because Loopmix is an instrument plugin, not an effect processor. It’s designed to apply this type of effects and slice randomization to the audio loops loaded into the app.

No sir. I guess I didn’t explain myself very well, sorry bout that. I would love to see a way to bring VST effects into the mixer section, allowing the user to add external effects (per lane) and be able to save those to the patch for re-call.

Understood. At the moment, the only way to achieve this is by using Loopmix’s multi-output feature.

You can create six audio tracks in your DAW and assign Loopmix 1–6 as the input for each track (for example: Audio Track 1 → Input Loopmix 1, Audio Track 2 → Input Loopmix 2, and so on).

This will separate all Loopmix tracks into individual channels within your DAW, allowing you to apply effect plugins independently to each one. By saving a preset in Loopmix along with your DAW project, you’ll be able to recall the setup later.

Ahhh, didn’t realize that was an option. Great, I’ll check it out. Thanks!!!
