Using CC from Loopy Pro buttons to switch patterns?

Hi all! I’m using AUM and I’m having issues sending cc messages from a LP button to PlayBeat 3. Specifically, I’m trying to use a button in LP to change the Quick Preset in PB3. Results are inconsistent at best. I’m fairly certain I’ve got the routing set up properly. Have the CC set for each Quick Preset in the PB3 settings page. Loopy Pro and PlayBeat are each in their own AUM channel (audio channels, fwiw).

Anyone else had an issue with this or been able to successfully do something similar?

Here’s a video of my setup and demonstrating the issue: https://vimeo.com/999628384

I dearly hope I am doing something wrong and someone can point out what that is.

Thanks!

Hi SetField,

Thanks for reaching out. We haven’t yet tested using the exact same setup, are you able to change the quick presets with CC from a controller but not from Loopy Pro?

Hi @Audiomodern, thanks for the response!

Someone in the AudioBus forum pointed out that I needed to send two cc messages instead of one. First, a value of 127 and then a value of 0 to emulate a momentary foot-switch type of message.

They also suggested to switch from cc to note in the MIDI CC Mappings which is by its nature two messages. So far that hasn’t worked for me but I’ll keep tinkering. Maybe something with the values I’m sending.
