Imagine you could route Chordjam’s robot and user output to different virtual instruments and even use voice distribution on different Midi Channels in Ableton Live.

Update: I had to revisit the whole thing as it wouldn’t work after I installed Ableton Live 12. As it turns out it is wrong to let Ableton Live handle Midi out in this case. Because then it will suppress Midi Out for Chordjam. Instead, you only configure Midi in with Ableton Live and leave the Midi Out for Chordjam.
This is extremely finicky to find. As when you checked Midi Out in Ableton Live, this virtual Midi device will be blocked for the whole session even if you uncheck it again. So the usual trial and error wouldn’t get you immediate results. Only if you close Ableton Live after unchecking Midi out for your virtual device it will work the next time you open Ableton Live.
Deutsche Version: Nach der Installation von Ableton Live hat das Ganze nicht mehr funktioniert. Das Geheimnis liegt in den Einstellungen. Ableton Live braucht natürlich das virtuelle Gerät, dass mit Loop Midi erzeugt wurde als Midi In. Was man aber auf keinen Fall machen darf: Midi Out für dasselbe virtuelle Gerät in Ableton Live ankreuzen. Denn dann blockiert Ableton dieses Midi Gerät für Chordjam und Chordjam kann dann keine Midi Daten mehr senden.
Die Fehlersuche ist dabei schwierig, da Ableton das Midi out für das Gerät auch dann nicht freigibt, wenn man den Haken für Midi Out wieder entfernt. Erst nachdem Du Ableton Live geschlossen hast und neu startest, funktioniert es dann.
