“I’m encountering sync issues between Riffer (version 3.1.2) and Logic Pro 11.1. The playhead position in Logic doesn’t align with Riffer(Please see the attached ). I’ve also tried changing the sample rate from 44 kHz to 48 kHz, but the issue persists. Could this be a bug, or might I be doing something wrong?”
Hi @Hicham ,
Thanks for sharing the video, this is strange. I see you have a loop region enabled, do you get the same results without a loop region in Logic?
Yes, same result without loop region: Unique Download Link | WeTransfer
This is very strange, we haven’t received anything similar using Riffer with Logic.
What is you device model/make? We will need to try and replicate this.
I’m on a MacBook Air M2 2022 - 16GB, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1.
Can you please try to run Logic using Rosetta to see if this fixes the issue?
Here’s how you can do that:
• Close Logic Pro and from the Applications folder, select Logic Pro application.
• Right-click Logic Pro app and select Get Info (or press Cmd + I)
• Make sure Open using Rosetta is checked:
• Re-open Logic. It should now indicate it is running as Rosetta
Didn’t seem to work; could it be some logic settings causing the issue?: Unique Download Link | WeTransfer
Is this happening in any other DAW? if you have another DAW that you can check?
The VST version seems to work in Ableton Live 10 Intro. However, the AU version doesn’t appear in Ableton, while in Logic, only the AU version.
AU plugins do not support MIDI out in Live, this is why the VST/VST3 version is required if you want to route midi from a MIDI plugin. It is a format limitation unrelated to Riffer or any other MIDI app.
However, the AU in Logic should not produce this issue. We will take a closer look to see what might be causing this. Thank you for your patience.
I appreciate you taking the time to investigate , and thank you for your support .
