Soundbox v1.1.0 Now Available

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

We released Soundbox v1.1.0. This version introduces a range of enhancements but the star of the show is our brand-new time-stretching engine, powered by Zynaptiq.

Watch the video tutorial to learn how it works.

I was under the impression that Soundbox was a virtual instrument. What does that have to do with loops? Beware of feature creep in directions that do not make this a better instrument.

Having audio synced to the DAW/host tempo is a crucial feature commonly found in most sampler modules. In fact, it was the top user request that didn’t make it into previous versions.

For this release, we focused on integrating one of the best time-stretching algorithms available in the industry. This enables us, third-party creators, and anyone using the mapping section to effectively use loop-based material into the layers.

I see. Don’t forget about fully implementing MPE. That was the reason I started using Sounbox.

I went back and listened to the video, hoping that there would be an example of how this would sound in Soundbox, but unfortunately there was none. Can you post an example of how this would sound and how it would be used in an instrument?

Our latest guitar library, Opacity, makes extensive use of these new algorithms across most layers, ensuring that all performances stay synced with the DAW/host tempo.

Thanks, I get it now. Opacity sounds great. I just bought it.
