With the new Free Player version, you can import free instruments or instruments you’ve purchased as in-app purchases (IAP) on the iPad version, so there’s no need to buy the same library twice. Additionally, you can import packs created by third-party developers, even if you don’t own a Soundbox license.
For unlimited access to all features and the audio/mapping editor, Soundbox can be permanently unlocked through the settings tab, by entering a license key provided with any Audiomodern instrument. Once unlocked, it stays unlocked permanently, with no need for further upgrades, as it includes free lifetime updates.
