Looks and sounds brilliant and I am very happy to see this PB4. I have mentioned a couple of anomalies in another thread. One being the Reason Studios export issue but Reason is a bit awkward regarding Midi… The other is in the Audio Editor with scrolling fade in and fade out should be vertical and not horizontal as there are no arrows or bar to suggest a horizontal scroll.
One more thing is when in the pitch tab and I grab a pitch note on any lane and scroll down to about D2 but I want D2# I then take my finger off the mouse to fine tune the Midi note that I want by left clicking on the up and down pitch arrows, then, the pitch note jumps back to C3 which obviously is frustrating. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Still, love this device with great new editing options and 3 new expansion packs, plus, a good upgrade price… Thank You

Thank You for more Automation options like mutes/solos and Freq/Res, excellent

Hi - Can anyone tell me if PB 4 has real midi drag and drop functionality? Like can you drag a pattern from the PB 4 sequencer into your DAW as midi (not as audio) and play it back as a midi track? PB 3 didn’t have that capability so I avoid using it most of the time. Hoping PB 4 includes actual midi drag and drop. Thanks.

Great news! Can’t wait to put it through all of its paces and see what it can do!

@sean8877 - Happy to report yes it is possible. The overview video discusses this briefly toward the end of video. Hope this helps.

Good news, thanks for the reply

Can not seem to download any of the preset packs I already bought as it redirects to the PB4 page. Are PB3 packs even compatible with PB4?

I think they are already included in the PB4 App.

I’m in the same boat, selecting any expansion just lands on Playbeat 4 Product page.

Thanks - I saw the video too, but when I try to perform the drag and drop on iPad within a host app (such as AUM), it doesn’t seem to work. See attached photo where I’m try to drag from PB4 into Helium. I get the same behavior in Logic Pro for iPad.

Has anyone else tried drag and drop on iPad?

@Audiomodern

Awesome! FYI- I am a complete suite owner, but the upgrade price is listed as €29 in my shopping cart.

Yes they are thanks. I have had this confirmed by support :+1:t2:

How to get the upgrade price on iOS / iPadOS? There would be a grace period or upgrade price, too.

Yes, I’d like more info on upgrade pricing please, as well.

It’s available at a special introductory price of €69, with an upgrade option for previous version owners at just €29 and approximately €19 for complete suite owners.

  • is the 29/19 upgrade price a time limited/introductory offer, or something more permanent?

Also, any upgrade paths for IOS? If not, any discounts for Playbeat 3 IOS users?

Thanks

Hi, version 4.0.1 is now available with some MIDI-related improvements, and we’re actively working on refining the mentioned UX functionalities. Thanks for your feedback!

Most presets from the previous expansions have been incorporated into the factory library of the new Version 4. This enhances the sounds selection and also helps train the engine that generates style-related patterns in combination with the new randomization algorithms.

As a result, these expansions are no longer available for purchase, as some of their content is now built into the new version. However, if you have packs from the previous version, they are fully compatible with the new one, and you can easily import them.

Drag and drop allows you to import audio samples into the app, while dragging out can be done simply by copying and pasting.

Please reach out to our support and we’ll help you out.

Unfortunately, offering upgrade licenses through the App Store is quite challenging. Due to App Store regulations, we’ve set the price at $29 for all users, which aligns with the upgrade price already offered for the desktop version.
