PB4 How do I download the free and included packs?

I bought a paid pack for PB4 and it shows up in the “Packs” section of the preset browser, but I’d also like to use some of the free and “included with PB4” packs that are listed on the website. Unfortunately, when I click to download them on the page it just takes me to the PB4 page.

How do I download them?

Hello,

I own PB3 and upgraded to PB4. So I had same question and did some 1:1 comaparison some presets. FYI, I have all of there free and paid expansions for PB3.

The Conclusion is, PB4 Already includes all the previous paid and free expansion packs.

Just they did some annoying work on categorizing expansions on PB4 so I can not find them by the expansion pack names and individual preset name except new expansion packs made for PB4. Even their genre / style tags does not work properly (I could not find afro preset I had on PB3 yet)

But I think they put them all into PB4 as factory presets.

I hope audio modern do some improvement so that I can find them by the pack name or proper style/genre categorization.

Also I want them to clarify that that did put all the previous expansions into PB4.

Hi, not all previous presets have been included in the factory library of Version 4. However, we’ve added many new ones across various styles to enhance sound randomization and improve the engine that generates style-related patterns.

As a result, the previously released expansions are no longer available for purchase, as some of their content has been integrated into the new version, along with fresh presets and sounds in the factory library. That said, you can still import any of your previous packs, or even your own, as we’ve ensured full compatibility with older version packs.

With the new engine, beat generation goes far beyond the content of these packs. By selecting the appropriate styles, new content is generated based on their characteristics, which is exactly what our new algorithms were designed for.

Thank you both for the answers.

I am still unclear on how I can find the presets, unfortunately.

Let’s say I wanted to see what presets were in the “Neonic” pack which is listed on the expansions page as “Included in Playbeat”. I searched through all of the “Factory presets” for the word “Neonic” and there is no mention of it at all. No presets include that word.

How do I find the presets?

Thanks!

According to Audiomodern’s comment, “not all previous presets have been included in the factory library of Version 4” That is why I can’t find them by the name (a few can be) but worse thing is, I can not find them properly by the style and genre either. By integrated into a big chunk of factory preset, if I import individual presets from PB3, most of the presets will be duplicates and it would be very inefficient to do a 1:1 comparison to distinguish between the few individual presets that are not duplicates. My main genres are R&B, Trap, Hiphop, etc., and I also occasionally make Afro beats, but I don’t know why I can’t find the preset pack for Afro beats that was included in PB3, and this type of browsing is very inconvenient, and it is a big drawback of PB4, which has been improved after a long time.

Yes, I read this too, but if the packs aren’t included they also shouldn’t be listed on the website as “Included in Playbeat”

You can say that again!

I have created a pack in Playbeat 3 which is basically Neonic (credits go to Tony Lagerstrom in the Pack title) so I can load it into Playbeat 4 and all is good. I’ve also added the pack name to the preset name so I know what pack the preset name is from

It would be unfair to continue selling the previous collections since most of the samples and patterns have already been added to the new factory library. While we could remove them from the site, we believe that would cause more confusion, and we’d like to showcase the work done in previous seasons.

We can either expand the factory library to include the remaining samples that did not make it into our Factory Soundest, or provide an archive for users to download them independently. However, the latter may result in a plethora of duplicate audio files, which, based on our experience, would not be ideal, especially for users with limited space on iOS devices.

Once again, the goal of this new approach is for beat generation to extend well beyond the content of these packs. By choosing the right styles, new content is created based on their unique characteristics.

If you’d still prefer to access each one individually, we can create an archive for you.

I think the current strategy is perfectly reasonable.

Same question. Thank you

All I am looking for is how to access the packs that are listed as “Included in Playbeat” within the actual plugin. For example, Neonic, but all of the others that are listed there.

Can @Audiomodern please explain how to do that, as I am still not clear on how I am supposed to find them.

i have the same problem. playbeat is pretty unusable right now.

If you have playbeat 3 and want to import any of the packs there into playbeat 4 it’s fairly easy to do so.

In playbeat 3 go to the preset manager, click on the pack you want to export, then click the little up arrow with with the semi circle over it to export the pack.

In playbeat 4 go to the preset manager, then click on import pack and locate the pack you just exported with playbeat 3 and you’re all set.

Hi, in version 4.0.4, we introduced an automatic size adjustment feature for the plugin UI to better accommodate users with 13-inch laptops. However, this caused a minor visual bug in certain setups, occasionally skipping the initial download screen. To resolve this, you can either slightly resize the plugin window to make the correct panel appear or update to the latest version 4.0.5, which is now available. The changelog will be released soon. Apologies for the confusion!

Hi @Audiomodern. I’m really sorry to keep asking this but my original question has got lost in the other questions. I’ll try and keep the question as simple as possible so it doesn’t get lost again.

On your website here there are 16 packs that are labelled as “FREE” and “Included in Playbeat” but when you click the “Included in Playbeat” button it redirects back to the Playbeat page.

I have Playbeat 4 and see none of the “Included in Playbeat” packs in my installation. How do I find and use the “Included in Playbeat” packs?

Thank you

Don’t say sorry, your question is crystal clear. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hi, as mentioned earlier, these presets are now part of our Factory library and are no longer available as separate expansions. You won’t see them listed individually in the preset manager, as they are all included under the ‘Factory Presets’ section.
However, if you’d prefer to access them separately, we can provide an archive for you to import each one individually into Playbeat 4. Just keep in mind that this may result in many duplicate audio files.

I for one would prefer that.

I see you are now using .flac it would be cool the be able to convert existing libraries to flac. '-)

But when I search for (for example) “Neonic” in the “Factory Presets” I get no search results at all. I also get no results for “Ripple”, “Refract”, “Plexus”, “Reanimatic”, and “SYMMETRY” which are all pack names. They ALL return zero presets in the search results.

I don’t necessarily need you to package them up if they are already there, but I do need to know how to find them within the “Factory Presets”.

How do I find them?
