The problem is, that when I edit sample in playbeat 3, for example fade in/fade out, then export it to the daw Im using (Cubase Artists 13), it sounds horrible. Edits wont export, and theres some weird “click” sound in it.
I have already send email to support about this, and I was told this problem would be fixed in next update. But when is the next update coming? It would be nice to use plugin I have paid: D Without this problem I really love playbeat!
Also I would like to know, is there coming any new sample packs for playbeat? There is only 16 now available, and most of them are for techno or other “deep” electronic music. I would like to have more hiphop/rap/trap, rnb and modern pop sample packs.
It’s super easy to make your own kits, it’s simply about finding the samples and adding them. playbeat does all the hard work. I wouldn’t judge it’s value based on the 16 free packs, instead just troll thru the included packs, and on the right side you can replace the individual sounds from your hip hop kits, or buy some of the hip hop packs that are available.
If it’s simply more sounds that you are after, I can help you with that.
Problems seesm to be PB3 is not exporting the “Edit” part. Never used it anyway and seesm to be adressed.
You can always add your own samples.
I use the Free Packs only for the patterns.
As a producer I would assume you have already folders with Oneshots and can just import those and randomly switch through them. You are not forced to only use the samples from the Packs.
But if you like a pattern you created in PB3, we should be able to easily export those MIDI and samples to our DAW. Sometimes, it’s harder to find a third-party oneshot that has the same vibe as the perc sample in a PB3 pack. We also paid for those PB3 packs, so we should be able to use them correctly and quickly. Currently, it’s a total pain. You can export the loop audio using drag and drop, but not the one-shots. That’s a lot more work.
If the samples are imported with an expansion pack, they will be in the Audiomodern folder in the user directory.
For windows:
C:\Users\YourUser\Documents\Audiomodern\Playbeat 3\Imported Samples
For Mac:
/Users/YourUser/Music/Audiomodern/Playbeat 3/Imported Samples
If the samples are imported directly by dragging into the app, in PB3 they are not copied, but they are just a reference to the file that was imported (so the path is where the file was when importing)
