PB4 How do I download the free and included packs?

Unfortunately, the presets don’t retain the original pack names, as the library has been curated and re-tagged to work with the new engine. However, you can filter by genre to easily find these presets along with others in a similar style.

OK, this can be done.

I would disagree this is easier than selecting from a pack.

Also, how would I go about requesting a refund for my purchase? I feel that this has been mis-sold based on the lack of the packs that are (still!) advertised on the website that do not exist in the product.

Not only are they available in the app, but they are also included in the trial version which is almost fully functional. This content is the one you downloaded during the initial launch of the app.

Most of the expansions available in Playbeat 3 were free anyway, with only six paid expansions that have been curated and re-tagged to ensure compatibility with the new V4 engine.

If you prefer to have these as separate packs with their original names, as mentioned earlier, we will create an archive for anyone who requests it so you can import them. It is requested already so we will most probably have this ready today.

If you wish to request a refund you can reach out to us here: https://audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Yes please on separate packs

Perhaps in future revisions you could add the pack name as a tag on the search, so users can avoid this confusion. I managed to figure out that the included packs were, uh, included because I recognized some of the sounds. But it took me a bit.

But it would be nice to just pull up the samples from certain packs and see what’s in each one (could also help make some interesting genre/pack blends too…) and it would also reduce the number of users submitting support tickets asking why they can’t find “Distort II” in the factory library. Or if nothing else on the website you change “included” to “included as part of the factory library” just to make it abundantly clear.

I’ve spent the past hour trying to figure out how to import all the ‘free expansions’ into Playbeat. Now I read they’re included in the factory bank without any tags that sort them into the original expansions? This is VERY aggravating. So, If I’m understanding this correctly, there’s no reason whatsoever to group these into expansions on the AudioModern website. In fact, separating them on the website, but not in the plugin, is misrepresentation.

As it stands, if I want to explore all the content of “Unveil” preset, described as Cinematic Cyberpunk, tough luck. None of these words are tags. I’m stunned there’s no view of the expansions. Not happy.

We designed it this way to optimize our engine for generating the results you’re getting. To access the content from the Unveil expansion, you’ll need to select Cinematic/Industrial. A separate archive for individual downloads of these packs will be available today.

where can the packs be downloaded ? cheers

I had the same question and searched around to find this thread. I was looking for the cyberpunk pack and like everyone else couldn’t download it but audiomodern here is saying it’s part of the playbeat4 which I just purchased. Except you can’t find the packs because they’re not tagged out as packs which makes no sense because I paid for the expansions bundle when I bought playbeat4 and I downloaded the packs that came with that Knock, Orion, Voltage and those show up as separate packs in the Packs folder in playbeat4. I think it’s kind of a copout to not be able to go into packs and have them categorized in their original pack folder for ease of use and saving time. Please make that an option in the next update.
