Im a new user just getting to grips with Playbeat, am loving how easy it is to create beats but am wondering what is the best way of getting the beats into my track. Say I have 3 different patterns which ive saved into presets 1 2 and 3, do I have 3 separate instances of Playbeat with those 3 different presets selected on different tracks (or patterns) for example? Or is it the case that exporting audio for each pattern I create the intended method? Im using FL Studio but I guess the question may be universal no matter which daw is being used?
Having three instances is one way, you could also assign your different patterns at the bottom 16 quick-load slots, if the presets share the same sound-set, or you can also use the direct drag audio out.
Thank you for your reply! With those options - my preferred method would be using instances as then I feel it would be more flexible if I want to easily change a few drum hits around later - however Im finding that as soon as I load up my first instance of Playbeat 3 to a channel, as soon as I hit play in FL Studio it just starts playing whichever pattern is currently selected in that instance of Playbeat, and if I load in further instances into other channels - those are just played over the top? If this is an option, how do you go about selecting which patterns you want played at which times?
you can use the Midi CC Mappings in settings to assign a key or midi controller to the Quick Presets - e. g. when you assign C3 to Quick Preset 1, you can load that pattern by simply playing the C3 key.
