MIDI Export by Track

Currently, when exporting MIDI for each track, if we have 8 tracks, we need to drag and drop each one individually (8 separate drag operations). I would like the ability to select all 8 tracks at once and drag them simultaneously into 8 corresponding tracks in the DAW.

Hi, exporting via the “All Tracks” button originally created eight separate MIDI tracks in your DAW. Since version 2, we’ve switched to combining them into one MIDI file following popular demand. We’ll consider adding support for both methods in an upcoming update.

Hi @audiomodern When I drag drop ALL TRACKS to my DAW (Studio One v7 Pro) I get all events squashed onto one midi note, and on playback it plays only the two sounds that are on the first step in the playbeat steps panel…and it repeats playing that first column in the steps panel. I cannot seem to find a way for it to simply copy all midi notes over to my DAW for playback. Am I missing something? tx Mark.

Hi again, I have made a video showing what the problem is, ie dragging All Tracks to DAW does not work as I think it’s supposed to… see here https://videoblurb.com/mp/playbeat-to-midi.mp4

Thanks, Mark PS, I am very jet lagged so excuse my tired voice!

I would greatly appreciate having access to both methods.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Have you tried adjusting the pitch on each track to match the notes you’d like to trigger? You can fine-tune this in the settings tab. Please check out the video below:
