I have purchased Kromium as an IAP for IPad but have no idea how I can import that pack into the desktop (PC) version. From what I have read on the forum it seems that this is possible (see below). Any help would be appreciated!
Introducing Soundbox!
• Purchased Library Access: Import and Share Soundbox Instruments across devices (Desktop/iPad) so you won’t have to buy a library twice.
Soundbox for iPad Has Arrived!
✓ Import any instruments you’ve purchased for the Desktop version (and vice versa).
Soundbox Update Log - Version 1.0.4 – November 7, 2024
With the new Free Player version, you can import free instruments or instruments you’ve purchased as in-app purchases (IAP) on the iPad version, so there’s no need to buy the same library twice.
Thanking you in advance for your help. Great product.
If I long press on the Kromium pack (or the Soundbox Demo pack) it only gives me the option to delete.
My user created packs give me the additional options to Export or Export & Lock.
Thank you. It appears to be an error on our side as IAP purchased packs are installed in their locked state. We will have a quick update that fixes this. Thank you for your patience.
If anyone has successfully completed the export of a purchased IAP pack with version 1.0.2, I would be very interested to know. I believe I saw the export option on the Kromium pack on my iPad after I first upgraded to 1.0.2, but now I only see “Delete.” I wonder if the fact that I also purchased a 3rd party sond pack (Umbris from Kompose Audio) could affect the behavior? I would expect the option to be available on sound packs from Audiomodern, but not necessarily from a third party.
With the 1.0.2 update, you should be able to export all purchased IAPs. If this doesn’t work, try deleting the pack and restoring or re-downloading it.
Starting with the 1.0.2 update, all purchased IAPs should be fully unlocked by default. The only exception is if the creator exported the pack using the “export & lock” option.
I purchased the iOS Voxmotive sound pack, and I was able to export it and load it into the desktop version of Soundbox. However, that did not unlock the Sample and Mapping Editor functions on the MacOS desktop version.
Have I missed a step in being able to use the Editor on MacOS? Do I need to buy the sound pack twice?
Hello! All libraries can be imported into the free version of Soundbox by Plyer on both desktop and iPad, whether they’re created by Audiomodern, offered for free, or developed by third parties.
However, Apple prohibits unlocking an iOS app with a purchase made outside the App Store. Similarly, we cannot provide license keys for the desktop version based on a purchase from the App Store.
While you don’t need to purchase the same library twice and are free to import it, unlocking the sample and mapping editor does require a separate purchase.
