A Soundbox request but regarding expansions.
(hope that’s ok - please move to pertinent section if not).
There are hundreds of good synth emulations/experimentation/soundpacks out there, but not so many good double bass instruments on PC, but even less so on iPad.
Kromium is great, but I’d really like to see a solo good double bass/ low end acoustic pack that I could use by itself or then layer with other sounds from other Soundbox packs.
Be great to have a really lush Trillian-like soundpack to delve into on the Soundbox system. There are thousands of synth basses out there already, but very few acoustic bass instruments that make the cut. Taking it a step further, when Soundbox comes out on IOS - good acoustic bass on iPad is as rare as hen’s teeth.
I’d be excited to then mix that lovely acoustic bass with other existing Soundbox pack layers or my own samples to get dirty, acoustic-based heavy sounds like Westwood’s Bass Untamed (from their’ Solo Strings Untamed’ VST) or Soundust’s Drift 004.
And getting those type of sounds on iPad? No-one else does that, yet. It’d be killer!

There might be user content generated for this in the future. Now that the free player version is available content creators (myself included) are now much more incentivized to make sample libraries for Soundbox.
Now that this new version is out I myself am going to start working on sample libraries for release and once they make some more modulation features and macro knobs, I can see myself exclusively making sample libraries in this engine vs alternatives like Kontakt or Decent Sampler.

That’s very positive. Great to hear you are positive enough about Soundbox that you are envisioning swapping solely to creating sample libraries for it.
I really enjoy NI’s Reaktor but Kontakt is a real pain, especially with 3rd party instruments. If it didn’t have exclusive stuff like Sound-dust instruments, I’d be even more annoyed at buying it because something more user-friendly like Soundbox has come out. The fact that I’ll be able to use essentially the same app and sound files on my iPad is another huge bonus for soundbox.

At the moment, we don’t have an acoustic bass library in development. However, since the release of the Player version, we’ve noticed a variety of instruments being introduced by third-party developers, and we’ve received numerous emails from developers expressing interest in creating Soundbox Instruments.
With that in mind, I’d expect an acoustic bass instrument to become available eventually - and if not, it’s definitely an exciting project for our team to consider working on
