I may be just using it wrong, but when I have GateLab activated, no sound will play via my midi controller, but if I switch it off, sound plays albeit unaffected by the plugin.
any help would be greatly appreciated!

FL Studio is a yesteryears DAW for me… So take that into consideration with my response…
Remember that GateLab is not considered an instrument, but rather an effect plug-in. So you need to connect an instrument to GateLab to get results from the plugin.
The photo you’re showing doesn’t show what instrument you may or may not have connected - only GateLab as an insert, so I can’t be of much more help.
