Good evening. I’m writing in case anyone can think of something and help me. I’ve always had trouble working with Soundbox as a VST 3 within Bitwig (MACOS version). When I tried to play something by activating MPE mode, it would go crazy, with strange pitch movements and vibrato. This isn’t the case in the standalone version or within Ableton itself. This is happening with a Roli Block Seaboard keyboard. The Bitwig people haven’t been able to help me. Is it an incompatibility with that DAW? The other day I updated to Soundbox 1.1 and now I’ve noticed that the button that activates MPE mode has disappeared. Reading this, I would greatly appreciate any help. A similar effect occurs with the Roli Studio Player application, but it doesn’t occur with Ecuator, and it’s from the same manufacturer. Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards and congratulations on the magnificent work you’re doing.
Are you using the VST3 or the CLAP version of the plugin? When you select the device (to see the MPE button) there will be a little icon in the corner – 2 for VST2, 3 for VST3, and a diagonally-rotated infinity sign for CLAP. AudioModern isn’t advertising this, but when I installed Soundbox yesterday it installed the CLAP plugin, and Bitwig prefers CLAP by default – you have to go into Settings/Locations and uncheck “Prefer CLAP over VST (when available)” to get the VST3 version to show up.
MPE support in CLAP is supposed to be automatic, but it seems that somehow MPE pitchbends are disabled in Soundbox CLAP, but not VST3 CLAP with MPE support turned on in Bitwig.
I hope this helps you.
Good afternoon, thank you very much for the information. Problem solved.
