Playbeat oversensitive to tempo jitter

Hi,
I am syncing Bitwig to MIDI clock from Keystep 37 (and various other devices). Keystep 37 has some tempo jitter (so do other devices).

Playbeat doesn’t seem to tolerate any tempo jitter at all. The playback with sync enabled is very uneven/chaotic.
I have enabled tempo smoothing in Bitwig, but that doesn’t seem to help.
No issues with built in drum machines, Additictve Drums and EZ Drummer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear that. Playbeat is designed to be in Sync with your DAW/Host app so I’m not sure if the MIDI Clock here is producing the problem, do you have the same issue if you run Playbeat in Bitwig without any external MIDI clock, or it is out of Sync there too?

No issues when syncing to Bitwig internal clock.
I’ve recorded a video showing the problem. Apologies for low sound level.

At the moment we can’t be sure as to why this is happening, i assume it is due to the external MIDI clock. Playbeat is designed to be in Sync with a DAW/Host and not via external sources.

I have transferred this to the rest of the team in order to support this functionality along with our upcoming update.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that you syncing to the host, in my case the host is synced to external clock.
