Currently having a blast with Playbeat 4 . The manual mentions that it chooses samples to fit with the chosen genre. Will it search through my own sample folders if I add them to the library?
Hi, when randomizing using the random icon above the sequencer (next to the sample name) or the sample slots inside the preset manager, the engine selects a sample from the same sample pool or folder as the original sample.
When the style-selection option is enabled, the engine chooses a sample based on a preset tagged with a specific genre/style. This process is driven by a combination of algorithms, which we believe work very effectively.
If you create your own tagged presets containing your samples, the engine will start incorporating them as well. For even more personalization, you can enable the ‘smart’ algorithm.
