Gatelab Automations not working when the plugin GUI is Closed (Logic)

The plugin does not seem to be listening to automation data unless the GUI is open. This is the AU version. I saw that the same issue seems to exist within Ableton.
Gatelab version 1.1.3
Logic version 10.8.1

Thanks for reaching out. This is a known issue which affects certain setups and it will be fixed with our upcoming V2 which is coming later this season. Thanks for your patience.
