Drum MIDI Sequencing for external devices

It is possible to transfer Drum patterns created in Playbeat - Reanimatic via MIDI to an external sequencer such as Novation Launchpad Pro.

Do the rights to your music generator belong to Gema?

I’ll rephrase my question

Is it possible to use drum sequences via a MIDI to CV converter even if they only function as trigger signals?

Hi Pat07. I do not know if this will answer your question. However, I do this in software by using Playbeat 3 as a MIDI FX insert on my tracks in my DAW. I don’t see why it would be any different when the track is armed with man external MIDI device instead of a software instrument. But, I use Logic Pro for my DAW, and I don’t know how you would set this up in a different DAW. In Logic Pro, you can insert MIDI FX plugins, such as MIDI sequencers, MIDI generators (eg arpeggios), and MIDI modulators (LFOs, envelopes, velocity ramps, etc.) before the Instrument. Do you have any other Audiomodern plugins MIDI FX plugins like Riffer or Chordjam? You would set up Playbeat 3 in your DAW the exact same way as those other MIDI FX plugins. Hope this helps.

Hello @Pat07

We haven’t tried to send MIDI data to to an external module like the Novation Launchpad Pro.

Here’s how the export MIDI should work in most DAWs, if you’re using Logic Pro then a separate MDI FX version fo Playbeat will be available fro you, so you can transfer the MIDI data directly from your DAW track output to an external device.
