Platform details: OSX Sequoia 15.5, Ableton Live 11.3.42, Chordjam 1.5.3.
In Chordjam, the robot will play 4 notes, triads with the middle note repeated -1 octave. when using drag seq, only the triads are copied, i.e. the lowest note is missing. I also wonder why the robot is playing 4 notes when only three have been selected? I’ve repeated this with various parameters - always the same. There’s either a bug here or I’m doing something wrong!
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re having trouble.
Could you share your preset with us so we can take a closer look at the issue? You can do this by creating a new pack, dragging your preset into it, and then exporting the pack.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Sorry, I’ve no idea what you mean by ‘creating a new pack’. It seems to happen with all built in grooves e.g. electronica #2, Pop #2 etc and scales apart from C, so it isn’t to do with my own user groove above. Try replicating the settings in the screenshot above with Pop #2.
This is the result we’re getting with these settings. Are you getting a different output when sending MIDI to an instrument versus exporting the MIDI from the sequencer?
Hi, thanks for your reply. I’ve tested it in a fresh project. I can’t seem to reproduce it and get the similar midi to your screenshot i.e. triads for minors. However, I did encounter a bug when loading up a user sequence - midi output stops, and the visual feedback in the Chordjam sequencer becomes highly erratic i.e showing one or no notes being played. There have been no changes of inputs/outputs etc. Changing the main preset seems to reset something (was on init) and then it works as it should. My guess is it is a bug related to user sequences/vst3. Thanks
Is it possible that the module you’re controlling with Chordjam (or its MIDI input) is also receiving MIDI from another device, which might be conflicting with the MIDI generated by Chordjam? If it’s not too much trouble, could you share a short video demonstrating the issue?
