Just upgraded to Playbeat 4 and I can’t seem to download the factory content.
“Failed to download and install factory content. Please, check your internet connection or try again later”.
So I’m not having any issues with my internet, firewall, any of that stuff. Rather frustrating. Options? Are there alternative means to download the factory library?
Hi, @Atardecer that’s unexpected, please check your PM.

Thanks, have downloaded the factory content. Now though, unfortunately I cannot unlock the plugin:
“There seems to be a problem with your network. To activate Playbeat 4 you need a working internet connection”
Not sure what’s going on here; I’m not having a problem downloading or activating other plugs online. Playbeat just seems to think i’m not online.
Hello,
I have the exact same two problems
The first time I downloaded the trial version of Playbeat, I downloaded all the factory sample packs automatically during the installation. Everything worked.
Then I bought a license on the audiomodern website for Playbeat, tried to activate it and got this message:
“There seems to be a problem with your network. To activate Playbeat 4 you need a working internet connection”.
I do have problemless internet connection, and still do. So I decided to uninstall the app + vst files. And install again. Now, it didn’t automatically install the factory samples. I now have the app, that I can’t activate, without a way to install the factory samples again. There’s no samples at all in the app at the moment.
I have a Mac 2024, with updated Sequoia. Everything else works perfectly on my laptop. I have no firewall or other settings that could block the connection. I do have Qustodio protection on this laptop, which I unfortunately can’t turn off. I don’t think this is the problem, but I wanted to let you know.
Did you solve this? And if so, how?
- Download factory content
- Get rid of error message during activation
Thanks in advance
Hey there, wasn’t solved for me. Though AudioModern reached out and sent me a private link with the factory content to download. Don’t think they’d want me sharing it here but someone will likely send you the same.
As for authorising, looking to sort it out via support request.
FWIW, I’m on Windows 10 here.
