ive made some .tun files that i use to play for example solfeggio frequencies and i would love to be able to use riffer with that sort of setup where i can create generative pads for example in just those frequencies
Thanks for reaching out. We’re not very familiar with this specific scenario when using Riffer, could you please share a bit more detail about what you’re trying to accomplish?
honestly i might be barking up the wrong tree i am not entirely sure
i want to be able to play very specific frequencies and in order to do that i found a tool called MTS-ESP by ODDSOUND.
its basicly a midi note bending tool allowing for notes outside specific scales, allowing also to build your own musical scales
there is not many synths i have that support it tho a few that do like the serum’s and the synthmaster series also support tuning files so i just ended up creating .tun files for those using said tool
for example one is this
C3 63HZ
C#3 174HZ
D3 285HZ
D#3 395HZ
E3 417HZ
F3 528HZ
F#3 639HZ
G3 741HZ
G#3 852HZ
A3 963HZ
A#3 1074HZ
B3 1455HZ
and i would like to be able to play those notes on other synths just by loading or setting riffer to that range
i realize i can use riffer for those few synths that have .tun support themselves simply by using chromatic and limit the range but how nice would it be if riffer itself incorporated some of those more advanced midi principles
Understood, this is quite a different approach from the app’s original design. However, we’re currently developing a new prototype for our upcoming version 4.0, and we’ll explore how we can accommodate this scenario. We’ve also implemented a new bend feature, which could complement this aspect very well.
i bet its never gonna work on all vsti as ive found the ones that are mpe enabled are the ones i can use for this purpose. however according to the developer of that its very easy to implement mpe and they gladly help point the way
not sure what good that will do as riffer is a midi tool and not a vsti but perhaps something there can open up a nice path forward
