Very pleased to announce Midnight Strings, a new completely free ensemble string library. It was made from some of the Iremia recordings, which is a series of solo strings recorded very close while playing very, very soft, so this is an incredibly intimate sounding string ensemble, with a definite Scandi Noir sound. I know, “Scandi Noir” is becoming overused in the sampling world, just like “felt” and “cinematic” but I don’t know what else to call it.

I’ve created my first Soundbox instrument. Bemused - Reverie Atmospheres. In which I used the Reverie app by Parallel Minds to transform my own material and then created a Soundbox instrument.

Funny how you wait for ages then it all happens at once. This wasn’t planned this way. It’s like waiting for a bus then two come along at once. But some time ago I created a Soundbox instrument using samples from Tomislav at Bedroom Producers Blog. I used a set from the Heatwave sample set he produced. And he has kindly given permission for it to be released. It’s free. And will run in the free version of Soundbox. Includes both WAV & FLAC packs.
