Im noticing that if the very first note at bar one is quantized to the beat then that note won’t trigger a sound when you play from start position. oddly if you return the playhead back to the beginning while PLAY is still active it will trigger the note. the sound will be printed during a track bounce but seems to suffer from a digital artifact on the initial transient (probably a similar issue with a project bounce although I haven’t actually tested that yet). Im assuming this is a Soundbox issue because I haven’t experienced this behavior with any other sample player or virtual instruments.
I should also mention there seems to be a related issue when recording. triggering a note on that first beat while recording doesn’t seem to work correctly either.
Hi davidasher1122,
We will check and correct this, we expect to have an update soon.
Same problem here using Bitwig on Mac Sequoia
First note in midi clip makes no sound but in my case it doesn’t render when bounced to audio. Any news about this
Hi, are you using the latest 1.0.7 version?
I just updated today. Seems like the major issues are fixed. The only issue still present is the recording one I mentioned. Basically if the first note is played slightly early, before the first beat then it doesn’t record (or make a sound at all). I can deal with that for now. Still would be nice to have Soundbox operate the same as all other AU instrument plugins in Logic. Thanks for fixing the major issues though. If I come across any more I will let you know.
did you have any luck with 1.0.7? I did. im using Logic though.
Yes it’s 1.0.7-the free player version. Latest Bitwig Latest Mac version. I’m not having this problem in Ableton or Fl Studio
No. using the latest version. it works fine in fl Studio and Ableton but not Bitwig. I haven’t tried Logic yet because I don’t have it installed
