I came upon Soundbox having enjoyed Opacity II for Kontakt so jumped on Opacity for Soundbox and see so many possibilities. I would love to rid myself of Kontakt and anything Native Instruments…I think it would be great to make articulations available within the Soundbox keyboard/layers setup. Lots more samples would be required, but this would make instruments sound much more authentic IMO. Also a Soundbox version for Linux
- Little OT - I and many other Linux musicians want every Plugin as a native Linux Version too.
Native (not via Wine or Bridges) Linux-CLAP oder Linux-VST3 are the Options i use and it works pretty well.
So every Linux user should push and ask Developers to spreaden their Plugin Spectrum.
Thank you all
Interesting response. Are you able to get Native Instruments instruments running in Linux.?? Unfortunately I have a lots of Native Instruments plug ins so am stuck in Windows. I use Studio One and Bitwig both of which have native Linux installs, my audio interface works in Linux and my Novation and Nektar pads/keyboards have Linux scripts…NI has no desire to give is a way to use Linux..they just want to chop up sounds in a myriad of ways and introduce new instruments that are forever stuck on version 1 as though their stuff emerges from the womb as perfection…So I am mostly mad at native Instruments
i only use native plugins…no extra tools, its too complicated.
i know, i got a lot of windows tools also from NI (Kontakt, Reaktor) they sleep on my other Harddrive with Windows 10 Offline. And this Insolvent Situation…argh…sad.
You got myriad of sound with VCV too
and U-HE is a big Player with very nice Linux Support. Its growing. Have alook into KVR and Search “LINUX”.
