Riffer 4: Riff selection based on the chosen note, and note filtering based on the scale within the editor

Hello! This is my first time using Riffer 4, and I’m really enjoying it. I have more experience with other pattern-based or randomized note generators.

1.- Is it possible—or is there a way—for the corresponding Riff to activate automatically when a note is selected in the editor? For example, if I select a yellow note, could the Riff associated with that note activate automatically? This would avoid having to manually select the correct Riff every time I want to edit a specific note.

Additionally, when “mono” mode is active, the software automatically switches to “poly” mode if I try to place notes where blocks already exist. The editor should include a (user-toggleable) restriction that prevents placing notes in blocks where they cannot exist due to polyphonic constraints. This way, if I want to edit notes for “Riff 3,” for example, the editor would restrict me to that specific Riff—unless I choose to disable “mono” mode.

2.- Is it possible to implement a note filter in the editor based on a specific scale? Currently, it’s possible to place notes anywhere, which can compromise a project’s harmony if one doesn’t have a precise understanding of intervals, etc.

Hi @gxlopez87

Thanks for reaching out and for your feedback. Both are possible, we’re already working on a series of updates so these can be out soon. The option to Fold the keyboard is already implemented, it just didn’t make it to version 4.0.0. We’re on it.

Thanks for your patience.
