How Soundbox file structure works?

Maybe I have already found this out!?

I have made very many soundbox sounds myself and was thinking where soundbox saves

sample files ?

I have a lot of wav files all around in my SSD disks, so files are everywhere!

So, Soundbox doesn’t save them but instead uses original location of files !

If you want to collect files in one precise location , only way is to do is create soundpack file!:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Then erase original pack and import saved soundpack!

But where are groups and presets saved ??

I know that samples are stored in Documents :

documents/audiomodern/soundbox

but only in big messy list of files, not even folders!!

I have very old but very fine samples from my Alesis QSR, and they are only file names like

C1,G1,C2,G2 and etc.

I was very worried how soundbox separate files like these ??:face_with_bags_under_eyes:

but there was no problem, fortunately !

I recommend something more advanced file system !!!

Overall, Soundbox is very nice sampler and very easy to use!!

But Kontakt killer it ain’t !!!:kissing_face_with_closed_eyes:

Very easy sample editing and mapping system, but of course with many

shortages, for example how to select all sample files when mapping samples?

The problems come when you make sound with very many files , maybe hundreds and more

wav files (for example ,big piano) ? Then you need more advanced system (like Kontakt)!!!
