So I purchased all the available Audiomodern VSTs and expansions for use on my computer. Now I want to use Soundbox on my iPad and I’ve just been airdropping the expansions from my laptop and importing them into the iPad version. Now, I have a problem because I want to unlock the full functionality of the iPad version of Soundbox, but didn’t realize an IAP from within that version was necessary to do so. Is there any way at all to unlock this version of Soundbox without being forced to re-buy expansions that I already purchased for the desktop version? I can’t justify paying for the exact same expansion on my iPad that I already imported from my computer. If I don’t want to pay for the exact same expansion in the iPad version of Soundbox that I already purchased for the desktop version of the app, am I just stuck with a non-fully functional version of the app on my iPad? Is there any way around this? If not, I guess I’ll just delete the app from my iPad and not bother. I can’t justify buying multiple copies of an expansion just so I can fully unlock the iPad version. Any help is much appreciated. It’s not the end of the world if I can’t fully unlock the iPad version, but it is extremely frustrating that Apple’s rules dictate that I need to make an IAP that I shouldn’t have to make if I want to use all the features of this version of the app.
Hi, the App Store currently doesn’t allow apps to be unlocked through purchases made outside of it. That’s why the iOS and iPadOS versions are sold separately from the desktop versions. However, expansions can be imported and used across all devices without needing to repurchase them.
That said, please check your PM, I’ve sent you a promo code you can redeem through your App Store account.
