First of all, Playbeat 4 is super cool. Honestly, I’ve upgraded to every version since the first one and 4 is THE ONE. It does what I always wanted Playbeat to do, which is to actually intelligently help make drum tracks. I LOVE it.
And I HATE it! MIDI export, a feature the plugin supposedly supports, just dumps everything on one note? Why would you do that? All the things I wanna do with Playbeat involve using the smart sequencing to drive other drums, and whether it’s just routing the MIDI out to another plugin or exporting MIDI tracks, it’s effed up every time.
I seriously feel like the plugin is just taunting me at this point. “Oh. That was a pretty cool drum loop. Too bad you’ll NEVER BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT!”
Ugh.
