It would be interesting to have an option to live record steps into the grid. it would provide a lot of useful abilities. Something like this: You’ve loaded up a preset or created a pattern that you like, and it just needs something extra. You can just hit play, and then start overdubbing on top of it. If you don’t like the last take, you can undo (or revert to original) and re-record. This could be set to not conflict with the MIDI in controls that use notes by a toggle switch.
