Hi,

Windows here. So when you start importing samples and expansion packs etc, the space requirements add up. I tend to keep most of my sample content on a separate NVme drive, not the system drive. But the installer does not give you an option to choose a custom sample folder.

And unless I’m missing it, Playbeat does not seem to give you the option to re-locate the sample folder path after installation either. Even when the dialogue pops up for samples missing after manually moving stuff to a custom folder location, you’d think there’d be an option to find the new folder at least. But it seems we’re stuck with having the sample folder in Documents/Audiomodern.

Thanks

Hi Atardecer,

I can confirm that we have already added the option to relocate the library and the option to choose a custom sample folder. We’re working on a major update which also includes this feature and hope to have it released soon.

Hi topaz,
All imported samples should be by default in the below locations:

For windows:
C:\Users\YourUser\Documents\Audiomodern\Playbeat 3\Imported Samples

For Mac:
/Users/_YourUser_/Music/Audiomodern/Playbeat 3/Imported Samples

Can you please share some info about your folder location? Are you storing your samples in the cloud?

Sorry but like many people I do not store samples on my system drive.

Playbeat needs an option to store samples on any drive other than C:

This is already implemented in V4, we will see if we can update the current version as well.

& Playbeat4 is a paid upgrade right?
_sigh_
I cant even sell the licences I have.. as thats not an option.
which is a bit sad really.
So if I want to move my library I have to pay!?

This feature is complimentary with the new version 4, as the older version couldn’t support it due to the plugin’s internal engine structure. The new version has been completely rewritten with brand-new algorithms, offering many new features and pattern & sound generation modes, besides the ability to move your library to a new location.
