# Playbeat 4 Desktop Parameters Exposed in Ableton?

Can we now click configure, then tap Playbeat UI, and get parameters to show there to be controlled via Macro in Ableton? That’s the only way I can map a certain control surface to it.

Depending on your DAW you are able to do that. You can also use the standard MIDI-learn function (MIDI icon in the top right corner) or the mappings section in settings, where you can assign a CC or key from your keyboard.

There’s an almost fully functional trial version available so you can try it out on your setup.

Thanks, yea I’d already tried the demo in Ableton and couldn’t map most things this way. Seems a few parameters like mute and solo can be configured, but some not.

Ok, found how to do this for some more things. The track has to be selected (missed that) then hit hit “instant” and temporary randomization will show up in the configure area for that track.
