I’m typically running Playbeat 3 as VST3 in Cubase 12.0.60 on Win10 22H2.
When I export All Stems either via drag and drop or by exporting as midi file, I’m getting multiple duplicate notes of minimal length in the exported file in addition to the expected note.
However I also tested Playbeat 3.2.4 standalone on Win10 22H2 and the midi export of All Stems produced the same effect of multiple very short duplicate notes following each expected note.
In addition, the drag and drop method ends up dropping 2 identical loops into Cubase.
When using the export for a single stem/track, it seems to work better, i.e. no duplicate notes in the dropped loop, but still the second problem with 2 loops being dropped.
The multiple duplicate short notes represents a kind of difficult problem to work around.
The duplicate loop problem is also a bit painful, but easier to work around.
I was able to replicate the issue by exporting all stems in the standalone version of Playbeat 3.2.4 as Midi file by simply using Factory Preset 01 and importing the resulting file into Cubase 12.0.60.
So it doesn’t seem to be related to a specific pack?
I have attached the exported midi file to a zen desk ticket - hopefully that will aid in the troubleshooting.
Same happens to me, only that I’m using Logic. I’ve looked around and seems this ain’t a big but something they weren’t considering to happen as expected since it seems there’s some issue with the pitch changing sequencer integrated on Playbeat making it impossible to export all events in their respective notes assignment cause that’s not the way they designed it. What’s it’s sad is that this issue is meant to be “addressed” in a future implementation but it’s already a year and nothing hasn’t happened yet.
